Aims and Scope

Journal of Ophthalmic Research is a peer-reviewed, open access international journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies in all areas of ophthalmology. It publishes clinical investigations, clinical observations, and clinically relevant laboratory investigations related to ophthalmology. There is emphasis on articles that focus on the prevention, diagnosis and novel management of eye disorders with focus on pathophysiology and provided that the research constitutes a useful contribution to the field.
Subject areas suitable for publication include, but are not limited to the following fields:

Cornea
Cataract
Glaucoma
Neuro-ophthalmology
Ocular Oncology
Ophthalmic Pathology
Retina
Uveitis

The journal accepts manuscripts for publication as the following types:
• Original Articles: The journal accepts papers derived from original research in both clinical and experimental ophthalmology.
• Review Articles: Reviews are accepted for publication in both clinical and experimentalophthalmology. The authors need to send a prior approval note with abstract to editor before submission of review articles.
• Case Reports: Educational cases that describe unique associations or side effects are included in this section. Also included are educational photographs in the form of short photo essays or new surgical techniques.

We are working closely with many major databases to get the journal indexed and will gradually publish more index information of the journal.
